Day 1 Arrive Mumbai
On arriving in Mumbai, our representatives will receive you and take you to check into the hotel. Overnight stay at Mumbai hotel.
Day 2 Arrive Bangalore After morning breakfast, we drive you to the airport. From here you board a flight to Bangalore. On arrival, our representatives will receive you and take you to check into the hotel. Over nightstay at Bangalore hotel.
Day 3 Arrive Bangalore - Shravanabelagola - Chikmagalur In the morning after a hearty breakfast, take a tour of the "Garden City," including a visit to Lal Bagh Botanical Gardens, the Mysore Arts and Crafts Center, the bull temple and the colorful, bustling markets. Proceeding to Chikmagalur, en route visiting Shravanabelagola. Overnight stay at Chikmagalur.
Day 4 Arrive Mysore Chikmagalur - Belur - Halebid - Mysore After breakfast we drive you to Mysore. On the way visit Belur & Halebid. Belur is situated on the banks of the Yagachi River. Visit the Chennakesava Temple which is one of the greatest monuments of medieval art in India. An outstanding example of Indian temple architecture is found in Halebid. The Hoysaleshwara Temple's entire surface is covered with a succession of friezes running its entire length, featuring elephants, lions, horsemen and an incredible display of celestial beasts and birds. Finally on arriving Mysore, check into the hotel. In the evening you can view the illuminated City Palace. Overnight stay at Mysore hotel.
Day 5 Arrive Mysore After breakfast proceed for a sightseeing tour. Visit the City Palace: Chamundi Hill where Nandi (Shiva's Bull) - a huge monolithic image is always garlanded with flowers and held in high esteem by Hindus; and the colorful and aromatic spice markets. Afternoon at leisure. In the evening we will drive you 10 miles from Mysore to enjoy the beautiful and exquisitely illuminated Brindavan Gardens, sprawling amid gorgeous cascading fountains. Overnight stay at Mysore hotel.
Day 6 Arrive Cochin Mysore - Bangalore - Cochin After breakfast we drive you to Bangalore, en route stopping at Srirangapatnam, where the legendary warrior Tipu Sultan built his island fortress and Summer Palace. Upon arrival in Bangalore, we will drive you to the airport to board a flight to Cochin in the state of Kerala. On arrival, check into the hotel. After freshening up you can enjoy a presentation of the colorful costumed Kathakali dance drama. Overnight stay at Cochin hotel.
Day 7 Arrive Kumarakom Cochin Sightseeing - Kumarakom After breakfast, we take you to visit the Portuguese Church built by St. Francis in 1562, the Jewish Synagogue and the famed Mattancherry Palace. View the Chinese fishing nets-ingenious devices requiring little human attention. In the afternoon drive towards Kumarakom. On arrival check into the hotel. Here you can experience the rich culture and active lifestyle that has evolved over the centuries in and around the backwaters and waterways that thread this region. Overnight stay at Kumarakom.
Day 8 Arrive Kumarakom Backwaters Cruise After a hearty breakfast we take you for a boat ride through the series of canals and lagoons snaking their way through several tiny villages and tropical vegetation. Not only do the backwaters of Kerala link the state together, they are an integral element in maintaining ecological balance and creating harmony with nature. In the afternoon you can just relax. You can also pamper yourself with an Ayurvedic treatment or Ayurvedic therapeutic massage. Overnight stay at Kumarakom.
Day 9 Arrive Thekkady Post breakfast we take you to Thekkady, located on the Tamil Nadu / Kerala border. This unique wildlife sanctuary is about 300 square miles and centered on an artificial lake fed by the Periyar River. Afternoon is at leisure. Overnight stay at Thekkady.
Day 10 Arrive Madurai Post breakfast, enjoy the morning game view onboard boat ride. The boat takes you along convoluted waterways and sightings of elephants, bison, deer etc. This tropical habitat makes it one of the premiere reserves of southern India with flora and fauna in abundance. In the afternoon we drive you to Madurai. Upon arrival,check into the hotel. Here at Madurai you can explore the bustling city packed with pilgrims, businessmen, bullock carts and legions of rickshaw pullers. In the evening visit the Meenakshi temple to witness the evening Puja ceremony. Overnight stay at Madurai.
Day 11 Arrive Chennai Madurai Sightseeing - Chennai (Madras)After breakfast , visit the Shree Meenakshi Temple, a riotously baroque example of Dravidian architecture, Thirumalai Nayak Palace and the Gandhi Museum. Continue to Mariamman Teppakkulam Tank, site of the Teppam or annual Float Festival held in January. Later we drive you to the airport from where you board a flight to Chennai (Madras). On arrival check into the hotel. Overnight stay in Chennai.
Day 12 Arrive Kanchipuram Kanchipuram and Mahabalipuram Excursion After breakfast, proceed for an excursion to Kanchipuram, one of the seven sacred cities of India, which served as a capital for several dynasties. Visit three of the best temples-Kailasanatha and Ekambareshwara dedicated to Lord Shiva, and Vaikuntaperumal dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Continue your excursion to the ancient Pallavan port of Mamallapuram, en route stop for lunch at a seaside resort. Later, visit the 7th-century rock hewn monuments. The shore temple, the only surviving one of seven is a unique example of a temple built of rock quarried elsewhere and carried to shore. In the evening return to your hotel in Chennai. Overnight stay at Chennai.
Day 13 Arrive Chennai Chennai Sightseeing - Depart Chennai Post breakfast we take you to Victoria Art Gallery, the Bronze Gallery and Chennai Museum. Fort St. George, San Thome Cathedral and Kapaleeswarar Temple to complete your tour of Chennai. Afternoon is at leisure. In the evening we drive you to the airport from where you are to take a flight to home. End of tour
