Shendurni Wildlife Sanctuary – Introduction
The Shendurni Wildlife Sanctuary has one of the richest collections of flora and fauna. The major species include vipers, bison, sambar deer, wild dogs, kraits, turtles, darters, leopards, and elephants. The Shendurni Wildlife Sanctuary is also blessed with barking deer, bonnet macaques, spotted deer, tiger, little cormorants, bison and black eagles.

Climate : The climate here in Shendurni wildlife sanctuary is mostly pleasant. During the months of November to January, the temperature of this region goes down to 15°C. However, during the months of March to April, the temperature rises to about 35°C. This locality receives an annual rain fall of about 4567 mm on the average. The rainy season prevails during the months of June to August.
