This reserve was declared as wildlife sanctuary in 1955. Later in 1973, it became a part of Project Tiger. The excellent ecosystem of the Manjira Bird Sanctuary makes it all possible to hold diverse biotic communities, including the tigers. . The Ranthambore National Park covers an area of nearly 400 sq. km. It lies between the Aravali and Vindhya ranges. Tourist from all round the globe used to come to witness the flora and fauna in Ranthambore.

Ranthambore National Park- Introduction
Ranthambore National Park is situated in Rajasthan, India. It is located 130 km to the south-east of Jaipur. This beautiful reserve expends to an area of about 1300 sq. km. The forest of the Ranthambore National Park is of dry deciduous type. The prominent trees in the park are dhok, which is extremely hard tree. Apart from the family of tigers, it is home to rich diversities of flora and fauna. It is a home to 200 species of birds, 30 species of mammals and 12 species of reptiles.

The main centre of attraction of the Ranthambore National park is the tigers. Also you can witness jackal, mongoose, sloth bear, leopard and many other species of rich animals. It is also a home to blue bull, chinkara, black buck, peacocks and crocodiles. In a nut shell it is the best place where you can get the opportunity to view the majestic predators in a wild mood.
