Koyna Wildlife Sanctuary – Introduction
Covering an area of little above 426 square kilometers across Vasota, Maharkhor, and Indavli Met, the Koyna Wildlife Sanctuary is a place to visit if one wants to get the view the best of aerial life in a compact package. It is located in the Satara district of Maharastra. It is endowed with some natural boundaries; the Shivsagar Lake and the majestic Western Ghat. It is alos the home to a number of endangered species such as Boswellia serrata, Euphorbia longan, and Elaeocarpus spp.
