Kamoor Wildlife Sanctuary is located at Canacona Taluka, which is in the southern part of Uttar Pradesh. The wildlife lovers spend the best time of their life here. The sanctuary is located very close to the National Highway No. 17. The great varieties of birds found here are never found anywhere else. Established in the year 1969, the sanctuary spread on an area of 86 sq. kilometers. The place has so far attracted many national as well as international wildlife tourists and nature lovers. Tourists from all rounds the globe used to come to witness the wildlife that dwells here. The healthy eco-system of the Palamu Tiger Reserve supports this wildlife.
Wildlife in Kamoor Wildlife Sanctuary
The main attractions in Kamoor Wildlife Sanctuary are Tigers and Leopards. Apart from these, it also full of a rich collection of wild and endangered plant and animal species. The sanctuary has animal resources such as Gazelles, Hyenas Panthers Porcupines, Sloth Bears and two rare species of Monkey. The vegetation here is moist-deciduous found with semi-evergreen and evergreen patches. One can find very tall and dense trees those literally block the sun rays to touch the ground. The entire sanctuary is covered by moist deciduous forests that have small patches of evergreens and canes.
