
The Bandhavgarh National Park is highly rich in its sheer scenic beauty. It is most well-known for its tigers, especially the white tigers. In fact, it has the densest population of tigers in India. The Bandhavgarh National Park is also associated with legends of ancient India. The legend says that the piece of land was gifted to Laxman by his brother Rama to keep a watch on Lanka.

The major species that can be found here are White Browed Fantail Flycatcher, Pigmy Woodpecker, Yellow Crowned Woodpecker, Long Billed Vulture, Common Kingfisher, Lesser Adjutant stork, Oriental White Eye, Olive Backed Pipit, Spotted Dove, White Throated Kingfisher, Red Rumped Swallow, Lesser Whistling Teal, Rufus Treepie, Black Stork, Green Bee-Eater, Greater Racket Tailed Drongo, Large Billed Crow, Red Vented Bulbul, Grey Capped, etc. and many more.
Along with these, one can fid here Changeable Hawk Eagle, Oriental Turtle Dove, White Rumped Vulture, Lesser Kestrel, Large Cuckooshrike, Pied Bushchat, Black Winged Cuckooshrike, Black Rumped Flameback, Woodpecker, House Sparrow, Golden Oriole, Rose Ringed Parakeet, Paddy Field Pipit, Dusky Crag Martin, and so on.

Climate – The climate here in the Bandhavgarh National Park varies greatly. The minimum temperature falls down to 2 degree Celsius, whereas the maximum temperature rises up to about 44 degree Celsius. The weather remains mostly dry, with a rainfall of just 1175 mm per year.
Best time to visit – The Bandhavgarh National Park is open for tourists during the months of October to June. However, the best time to visit is from the month January to the month of March.
