Located in Shirpur Tehsil of Dhule District on the southwestern range of Satpura range, the Anerdam wildlife sanctuary is one of the most famous sanctuaries in Maharastra. Known for its variety of flora and fauna, the Anerdam wildlife sanctuary is one of the richest sanctuaries in India.

The Anerdam wildlife sanctuary is blessed with a great many variety of flora and fauna by the nature. The dominatnt vegetation is the degraded form of scrub forest and wooden forest in patches. The major flora found in Aneradam wildlife sanctuary includes Palas, Hiwar, Bel, Khair, Salaia, Dhawda, Babul, Terminenalia species, etc. The commonly found shrubs are varieties of Casia Auriculata, Isora, Solanium Giganteum, Zizphus Helicteres, Vitex Nigundo, Lantna etc.
The fauna in Anerdam wildlife sanctuary is also quite remarkable. The most commonly found species include Hares, Chikaras, Porcupines, Jungle Cats, and Barking Deer's. One can find the migrant animals such as Jackals, Hyenas, Wild boars, Wolves. The population of birds is also not less. The varieties include Eagle Hamers, Qualis, Spot Bills, Herons, Partridges, Cormorants, Corts, Peafs, and Owls etc. There are quite a few migratory birds such as Cranes, Brahming Ducks, and Stokes.

Climate – The climate in Anerdam Wildlife Sanctuary is rainy and on the higher side of humidity. The temperature varies from 200 C to 350 C. During May and September-October, there is a possibility of storm.
Best time to visit - The best Time to visit Anerdam Wildlife Sanctuary is from November to February. The climate during this period remains predictable and comfortable.
