located near to the Madovi Rive in the province of Bardez. It lies about two
miles to the north-east of Aguada Fort. This fort was built under the supervision
of Adil Shah in the year 1490. Later on, The Portuguese annexed this fort in
the year 1760. The main motto of the building this fort was to ensure security
to the province.
The houses inside this fort was a worth sightseeing place. From these eminent
rooms of the fort, one can witness the breath-taking views of the sea. There
are 33 guns and a small garrison, which are meant to defend the fort. Earlier
this fort served as the residence of viceroy. After that it was converted into
fort. Between 1798 to 1813, this fort was occupied by the Britishers who used
this fort as prison. Presently, this fort has been projected for a heritage hotel.
