History
Former Prime Minister of Mewar of the 18th century namely Amir Chand Badwa constructed the bubbling Bagore ki Haveli in Udaipur. ‘Haveli’ actually meaning is ‘mansion’ and this magnum opus of art got its recognition much later unlike the other pre existing Havelis in Udaipur. But after the end of the Amir Chand’s realm, it was Maharana Shakti Singh who was appointed as the new occupant of the Haveli and named this eye-catching haveli as “Bagore ki Haveli”. Gradually the relevance of this haveli started deteriorating and much after in 1986, when it a boded the West Zone Cultural centre, it again started recuperating its vanished splendor.
Description
The description of ‘Bagore ki Haveli’ in Udaipur is really emotive. Overlooking Lake Pichola, it is built at Gangori Ghat and is comprised of over hundred rooms.
