An enthralling place of Pushkar in Rajasthan is a blessed land of around 400 temples and 52 bathing ghats. But as lakes and gardens also appeal in the same way to the swashbucklers and are extremely stimulating. Pushkar Lake is a very exhilarating lake which is still maintaining its quaint magnetism and is a natural water body bounded by hills and sand dunes that represent an ideal site for the annual religious carousing. In the month of October-November, here a renowned Cattle fair takes place and the place gets flocked by countless devotees. Moreover, on the auspicious occasion of full moon day in the month of Kartik, these mobbed devotees take a holy dip in the lake and purify themselves.
The Pushkar fair about which we have mentioned above is held along the banks of Lake Pushkar, is also recognized for its Camel trading and other eye-catching activities. It is also celebrated for its involvement in the local fairs and festivals. During the big carnival in form of fairs and festivals, the banks of the lake are garlanded with earthen lamps, electric bulbs and etc. depicting the panoramic vista that matches the fizz, gusto and intensity of traditional fairs and festivity.
