Tourist Attractions in Mandawa Rajasthan

Mandawa region in Rajasthan is snuggled in the craggy zones of the Aravallis, It lies few kilometers from pink city, Jaipur and is one of the sluggish hamlets of Rajasthan that evokes the opulence of yesteryears. Being situated in the Shekhawati region of Rajasthan, Mandawa is a crowd puller because of its splendid mansions. Mandawa is a very engrossed town with the hustle and bustle of the tourists and was once the district of the Rajput merchants who constricted the palatial mansions for their own trade purpose. The business town of Mandawa was festooned with friezes, paintings, arcades and even today these mansions radiate a stately vintage, magnetism and ambiance of former times. As the traders had to wander from one to another so they built the palatial mansions in their dwelling place as a point of their affluence.

Mandawa’s Tourist Attractions are all about these colossal fortifications and stunning Havelis. To begin with, we acquaint you with Mandawa Fort impeccably constructed in the year 1797 by Shekhawati ruler, Nawal Singh. The aura and the elegance of this fort will completely make you speechless. You will be trapped with skillfully painted frescos, vaulted entryways and figurines of mythological characters re-erecting the picturesque medieval ambiance of the earlier times. Today the Mandawa fort is not revealed as a fort of those times rather its structure has been reformed as of heritage hotel.

Coming out of this Mandawa fort, yet another gripping tourist attractions in Mandawa are interesting Havelis. The leading one is the Hanuman Prasad Goenka Haveli studded with glittering paintings depicting the Indian mythological characters like Indra Dev and Lord Shiva. It has an attractive porch which is discerningly ornamented with images of elephants and horses. Moreover the eye-catching paintings of Murmuria Haveli are also worth mentioning which depict the political figures like Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru and a train at a level crossing. Surprisingly, the alluring Mohan Lal Saraf Haveli has still not lost its charms and glory and is in a good condition. It is more attention grabbling because of its garlanded royal portraits.
