About Bundi: A tiny town in Rajasthan, Bundi has a bucolic setting. It is precisely located at the buttes of the Aravalli Mountains. It is not only eminent in the map of Rajasthan rather is high-flying all over India and abroad for its “baolis”. This Bundi region is immaculately lying at the distance of 36 km away from Kota and 206 km from the pink city, Jaipur. Baolis are waterworks on havelis (mansions), step well, chhatris with imprinted pillars and shrines. The name 'Bundi' is derivative from the tribe head of clan’s name- Bunda Meena. But, later in the 12th century it was annexed by the Chauhans and reached its zenith in the medieval times.
