History of Umed Garden
The name Umed Garden is inspired from the name of famed Maharaja Umed Singh ji itself. The very Umed Garden in Jodhpur is positioned just next to the popular Umaid Palace which was envisaged by Umed Singhji after getting inspired from western lifestyle. Which is why, the interior designing and adoration of this garden was not given in he hands of other adroit architects rather a very eminent Edwardian architect namely Henry Vaughan Lanchester was appointed for the same.

Description of Umed Garden, Jodhpur
The description of the garden is really laudable. It is spread over 82 acres of land with its five separate gates provide five different directions to enter in its arena. It really facilitates the bystanders to cover the entire garden. Moreover, the verdant lawns with scented roses and other seasoned flowers really charm people with its virgin beauty. Nonetheless, a mausoleum inside the gardens, massive Ashoka trees, artistically ornate fountains and a library along with zoo are all the enticing features of Umed Gardens.

Extol of the Garden is not yet over. The zoo housed in the premises of Garden was inaugurated by Viceroy Willingdon. Before the inauguration of the Umed garden took place, it was already considered as a dwelling place many animals for tiger, zebra lion and ostrich. Very rare know that a 'Walk-in Aviary' in the zoo was built in garden area in 1978 and nurtured different sorts of birds, local, African and Australian parrots, ducks and rabbits.

Likewise Nehru Park, Umed Garden is also a perfect place to edify children and adults in relation to children.
