For those who are planning for a heritage tour, Vijay Mandir Palace in Alwar, Rajasthan will be the perfect place. The Vijay Mandir was built by Maharaja Jai Singh and has elegant outlook in 1918. It is located 10 Km from Alwar. It houses 105 rooms with picturesque landscape and rippling lake in the foreground. Maharaja Jai Singh was believed to be an eccentric ruler, who wanted to construct a striking Italian structure of Yaswant Niwas but, he did not like its architecture and decided to reconstruct which resulted in Vijay Mandir Palace.
Sita Ram Temple
Sita Ram Mandir has a great reverence at the time of 'Ramnavami'. At the time of festival, huge crowd of people is seen in the palace grounds. But, if you want to be the part of this huge celebration, make sure that you have permission from Maharaja of Alwar.
Moti Doongri
A Moti Doongri is nothing except a lingering sense of solitude and sheer waste. It is a complete disappointment of the destruction of famous 100- roomed palace by Maharaja Jai Singh. The most wonderstruck part of the story is that it took two whole years to demolish and it cost him more than what he actual spent.
