The Museums are the marvelous storehouse of very interesting art and artifacts. Alwar in Rajasthan is a city of historical significance. Being situated on the north - eastern part of Rajasthan, it lies in the hills of Aravali ranges. Although, the city cannot be pompous of many museums but, the museums it house, reflect the affluent culture of Rajasthan.
Commencing from the Government Museum in the very Alwar city, it has countless attractions to discover such as palaces, forts, lakes, gardens and temples. The tourists in satisfying their quench of exploring much about the state do come here and feel nostalgic about the place. The museums also have huge collection of Mughal paintings and artifacts. The exquisite sculptures to marvelous paintings to different kinds of weapons, it exhibits various kinds of objects in three different hall.
Bala fort which is also known as Alwar fort was supposed to have been built even before the reign of Mughal Empire. Another famous tourist attraction is the City Palace or Vinay Vilas Mahal built in the 18th century and is represent the true Mughal Architecture.
Nevertheless, the most famous place near Alwar is the Sariska National Park. It is the gateway of Sariska national Park. It is often visited by the tourists from all over the world for having a good population of wild tigers. Sariska National Park is a part of Project Tiger campaign and is well-known for its 'friendly tigers'. Shoppaholic can indulge themselves in purchasing handicrafts from the local markets.
