The town Alwar is situated on the north east of Rajasthan and is surrounded by Aravali Hills. One of the tourist destinations of Rajsathan, Alwar does not focus only on its forts and palaces. But, it also speaks high of its monuments. We have seen in the past that tourists not from within India but also from outside India have visited the place and get captivated by its charm.
Alwar's monuments exhibit Rajasthani handicrafts made by the dexterous craftsmen. It also has cenotaphs built in the memory of dead and temples of their local deities. The monuments of Alwar bear the testimony of what happened in the past and sill stand proudly.
In the continuation of discussing Alwar's monuments, Rani Moosi is yet another one of the Monuments which deserve a special mention. The building of this monument is superb. The second storey is made up of complex marble carvings and compels the visitor to look intently and appreciate such authentic piece of art.
The fort Bhangarh, situated in Alwar district in the state of Rajasthan is considered to be the most haunted place in India. Many myths are related to the fort Bhangarh. It is believed to be a cursed land. It is banned by the Archaeological survey of India to visit the Bhangarh fort after sunset. The place has no human traces as it has only got temples of Lord Hanuman.
The most distinctive place of Alwar fort is the Tomb of Fateh Jung. Its huge arena will divert your attention towards itself. It is considered to be a mix of Hindu and Islamic architectural styles.
