The Bhangarh is considered to be the most haunted place in Alwar, Rajasthan. It is located somewhere around 84 Km from Alwar and 47 Km from Sariska. There are many myths linked with the place. It was built by Raja Madho Singh in 17th century and incorporated 10,000 houses. But, unfortunately, an evil magician visited the place and cursed it badly. Due to the evil effects of the curse, it led to the end of the Bhangarh town. No traces of humans were found after that. According to the Archaeological Survey of India, the entrance is banned after the sunset.
The Bhangarh fort has a very dead look. It has crumbling temples, walls and pavilions positioning against the silent wilderness of town's ancient prosperity. The fort has only temples of Lord Hanuman, Lord Shiva, Gopinath and Dev Narayan temples and some portions like a pavilion which act a perfect place to picnic.
A recent restored medieval Bazaar has a very fascinating look. It has a Someshwar Temple, tank of which is used by the villagers for household activities such as washing and bathing. Last, but not the least, there is another city’s fascinating monument called the Randiyon ka Mahal (Palace of Prostitutes).
So, all these unusual attractions make this place a wonderful place to explore.
