It is basically a three days festival reflecting the undying spirit of kite flying of the global excellent kite flyers who intentionally participate and acquaint the bystanders with their unusual kite flying skills in this enticing festival. The sky seems to be tinted with different colors of kites such as yellow, blue, red, green, pink, orange, fushcia, indigo, gold, silver and ochre titivate the cobalt skies of Jaipur.
The high point of this International Festival is its inauguration part that takes place in the propinquity of the Jaipur Polo Ground, chased by the helicopters of the Air Force letting loose a superfluity of multihued kites. This breathtaking fiesta is segregated into two sections - Friendly Kite Flying Session and Kite War. In the last, a prize distribution function takes place on the imperial sod of the bravura Umaid Bhawan Palace.
