Description
The Harkishan Das Saraogi Haveli in Fatehpur is open into a courtyard delimited by long passage of corridors that head towards the rooms. The interiors of the haveli are smartened up with intricate frescos depicting the breathtaking miniature paintings having its theme taken from life of Lord Krishna, hunting and combat scenes, etc. ‘Jharokas’ were festooned with intricately imprinted filigree screens, specifically designed for the ladies to sneak a quick look at the hustle bustle of the outside world. Nonetheless, it also has a common meeting hall principally used to greet the guests on the ground floor.
