Gangaur Festivals lingers on for 18 days and the finale of the celebration comes when Lord Shiva comes to lead his dearly loved wife goddess Pravati to home. You being a voyager will be captivated to see the festooned idols of Gauri that makes it undeniably an attention grabbling. You will be amazed to see the way the devotees offer their prayers to the goddess. Their unique style includes the traditional way of putting henna or Mehendi both on their feet and palms and women go door to door with earthen pots and sing lovely songs in the honor of goddess. The earthen pots have holes everywhere with a lamp illumined sideways called ghudlias to accumulate presents of jaggery, cash, ghee sweets and oil and this ceremony continues till the last day of this jubilating event. The last day holds a special mention as on this day the unmarried girls break their earthen pots and recycled the waste into a water tank.
