Day 01: Bangalore
Begin your Southern Experience tour with the arrival at Bangalore where you are welcomed in a traditional way with vermilion and garlands. You will be transferred to the pre booked hotel by Indian Horizon executive. Enjoy rest of the day at leisure. Dinner and over night stay at hotel.
Day 02: Bangalore
After breakfast enjoy the sightseeing tour of Bangalore and cover its scenic places like Lal Bagh, Vidhan Soudha, Tippu's palace and Bull temple. Return back to the hotel for dinner and over night stay.
Day 03: Bangalore - Mysore
Late morning drive to Mysore. En route visit Sreerangapatnam an island in the Cauvery River. Visit the summer palace and museum of Tipu Sultan and the exquisite Hoysala temples at Somnathpur. On arrival at Mysore, check in the hotel. Enjoy the rest of time in leisure activities.
Day 04: Mysore
After Breakfast, in the morning visit the imposing Mysore palace of Maharaja of Mysore, Chamundi hills and Chamarajendra Art Gallery. By the evening visit Devaraja market. Over night stay at hotel.
Day 05: Mysore – Hassan
Drive to Hassan via Sravanabelgola, with its huge statue of Gomateshwara carved from a single piece of rock. On arrival, check in the hotel. Afternoon visit the Hoysala temples at Belur and Halebid. Over night stay at the hotel.
Day 06: Hassan – Coorg
After breakfast leave for Coorg, the land is known for its tropical forest, exotic spice and coffee plantations. On arrival, check in the plantation resort.
Enjoy the rest of the day in leisure activities like nature walking, bird watching and Elephant safari. Over night stay at the resort.
Day 07: Coorg – Vythiri
Next morning after breakfast drive to Vythiri. You can get accommodation either in Tree House or Plantation resort according to your choice.
Day 08: Vythiri
After breakfast enjoy the full day excursion tour to Vythiri to explore the enchanting natural beauty of Waynad hills. Over night stay at the hotel.
Day 09: Vythiri - Shornur- Cochin
After breakfast, get ready for the early departure to Cochin via Shornur and Guruvayoor. At Shornur visit Kalamandalam - the school where traditional art forms are taught in the Gurukula system. At Guruvayoor have a typical Kerala vegetarian lunch on banana leaf. Also visit Punathoor Fort - where more than forty elephants are kept. Later on proceed for Cochin check in at hotel. Over night stay at the hotel.
Day 10: Cochin
After, breakfast in the morning enjoy the sightseeing of Cochin visit Jewish synagogue, Dutch Palace, St. Francis church and Chinese Fishing Nets and antique shop street. Evening watch Kathakali the traditional dance drama of Kerala. Over night stay at the hotel.
Day 11: Cochin – Thekkady
After breakfast, drive to Periyar, which takes you through the scenic high ranges of Kerala amidst tea gardens. On arrival at Thekkady, check in at nature habitat resort. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure or visit the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary which is one of the most famous and well maintained wildlife preserves of Kerala. Over night stay at the resort.
Day 12: Thekkady Breakfast
Early morning take a boat ride in the Periyar Lake to watch wildlife, Late in the morning take short trek inside the forest accompanied by a naturalist. In the afternoon visit the amazing world of spice plantations that include vanilla, cardamom, ginger, betel nut, Nut Meg, clove, turmeric. Over night stay at the resort.
Day 13: Thekkady - Kumarakom
After breakfast, in the morning leave for Kumarakom, the backwater village. On arrival, check in at backwater resort. Enjoy the sunset cruise on the backwaters of Kumarakom. Return back to the resort for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 14: Kumarakom – Houseboat
Late in the morning board the Houseboat for an overnight cruise through the unique backwaters of Kerala. Cruise through the palm fringed canals watch the Paddy fields, village folk. Relax on board hearing lullaby of the wind and waves. Overnight on board. Enjoy the evening candlelit dinner onboard houseboat. Overnight on board.
Day 15: Kumarakom- Trivandrum
Get back from Kumarakom to Trivandrum International Airport and catch the flight for onward destination. With this the Southern Experience comes to an end.
