The Hadimba Temple is located to a height of 2,438 metres (8,000 ft) above the sea level. In 1533, Maharaja Bahadur Singh was built this temple. According to Hindu mythology (Mahabharata), Bhim, one of the brothers among the Pandavas killed the demon Hadimb and married her sister Hadimba. Later, Hadimba performed meditation to become Goddess.
A four tiered pagoda shaped roof and carved door is the major attraction of this temple. The Hadimba Temple is one and half kilometer from the bus stand. You can view Kullu and Parvati valley from this temple. There is a sixty feet tall staff of Bijli Manadeve temple that gliters like a needle under the sun. Every year, in the month of May, the Hadimba Temple serves as the venue to a colorful festival.
