Day 1: Colombo
On your arrival at Bandaranaike International airport, you will met by our representatives. You will then be driven to your pre-booked hotel. In the afternoon we take you for a sightseeing tour of Colombo. We take you to visit the fort and pettah the hub of commercial activities, town hall, independence square, BICH (Bandaranaike International Convention Hall), National Museum, drive through Cinnamon Gardens residential area, visit the Dehiwala zoological gardens and witness the famous elephant circus. Enroute to your hotel visit a Buddhist temple and a Hindu temple. Over night stay at the hotel.
Day 02: Colombo – Anuradha Pura – Giritale
After breakfast, we take you to Anuradhapura. On arrival, you are to check into the hotel. After freshening up we will take you for a sightseeing tour of A'pura. We take you to visit the ancient monuments of the Great Sinhala civilzation which flourished in the region. Taking pride of this place is the "Bo Tree" which is over 2,200 years old grown from a branch of the very tree under which the Buddha attained enlightenment - The oldest historically documented tree in the world. Later we take you to Giritale. On arrival, you are to check into the hotel for over night stay.
Day 03: Giritale – Sigiriya – Polonnaruwa – Giritale
Morning, after breakfast, you are to climb the Sigiriya rock fortress and view the famous frescoes painted in a rock pocket and also see the mirror wall and proceed to Polonnaruwa. We then take you for a sightseeing tour of Polonnaruwa visit the ruins of the audience hall, council chamber, the royal citadel, the Kumara Pokuna (pond) Royal Pavillion, Siva Dewale, the Thuparama, the Vatadage relic house, Kiriwehera, Gal Vihare with some of the most impressive sculptures, the reservoirs etc., and return to Giritale. Over night stay at a hotel in Giritale.
Day 04: Giritale – Kandy
After a hearty breakfast, we take you to Kandy, Sri Lanka's hill capital. Enroute visit Dambulla rock cave temple like Sigiriya, Dambulla rock temple is a vast isolated rock mass and it was here that King Valagambahu took refuge in the 01st century B.C. He later turned the caves into a rock temple. Some of the frescoes found here are over 2,000 years old and there is a colossal figure of the recumbent Buddha carved out of the living rock some 14 meters long. We take you to visit the spice garden at Matale and a wood carving factory and also visit a batik factory. We now take you to Kandy where you are to check into the hotel. Late evening we take you to visit Dalada Maligawa where the temple of the sacred tooth relic of ‘The Buddha’ is enshrined and thereafter view a cultural performance depicting the low and country dancers and return to hotel. Over night stay at a hotel in Kandy.
Day 05: Kandy – Pinnewala – Colombo
Begin your day afresh with a refreshing breakfast. After breakfast we take you for a sightseeing tour of Kandy. With us visit the Peradeniya Botanical gardens, where you can view a rare collection of tropical, exotic and indigenous flora, and the famous orchid house. We will drive you around the upper lake drive and the picturesque university campus buildings of traditional Sinhalese architecture, visit the market place and the arts & crafts centre and return to hotel. Later you will be taken to Colombo. Enroute visit Pinnawala elephant orphanage. You will be fascinated to see the way these elephants are given bath and fed. On arrival, you are check into one of the hotels in Colombo for over night stay.
Day 06: Colombo Departure
Being the last day of your tour, you are to start your day with a scrumptious breakfast. Post breakfast we take you to the airport from where you are to board a flight to your onward destination.
