The Vettukadu Perunal Festival is the annual festival that is celebrated in the Madre De Teus Church which is popularly known as the Vettukadu Church.
Description: Vettukadu Perunal Festival is celebrated on the last Saturday of the Christian year. When the festival is celebrated many ceremonies are observed in the church. The main highlight of the festival is the procession that is taken out on the preceding Saturday. During this magnificent procession, the image of Lord Christ is taken out. This is followed by the Eucharistic procession. People are also seen in the act of praying ceremonially invoking divine protection. Sermons are also held to enlighten the people on the path of righteousness. The whole surroundings are full of joyous exuberance.
Time for celebration: The Vettukadu Perunal Festival is celebrated for ten days and always ends on the last Sunday of the Liturgical year.
