Various festivals and fairs in Kerala are influenced to the large extent by legends and myths. Among the list of famous festivals of Kerala Kadammanitta Padayani is one of them.

Description: The main reason of celebrating the festival of Kadammanitta Padayani is the devotion to the Goddess Bhagavathy, who is symbolized as a Mother Goddess. The festival is celebrated for ten days with a massive display of color and elegance. The festival is marked by the performance of the Patayani, a popular dance form which is performed on the 8th day of the festival.
