Sailing Down The Ganges Tour

Delhi - Allahabad -Varanasi - Agra - Jaipur - Pushkar - Delhi





Sailing down the Ganges- in a wooden country boat from Allahabad to Varanasi is a leisurely trip with lots of adventure. This is the most bright and interesting stretch of the celebrated river. Extra ordinary landscape, simple countryside, people religiously assembles the riverbanks, the old temples, migratory birds and overall sitting on the virgin waterway islands with no body around. You will be delighted with the whole experience of boat & boatman, and the companionship of migratory birds and teasing sites of large dolphins.

AllahabadDay 01 : Arrive Delhi
After your arrival to Delhi you are offered to rest the entire day at the Delhi hotel. Where you will be pleased to see the hospitality and services of hotel stuffs. Overnight stay is also in Delhi.

Day 02 : In Delhi
In day two your full day is allotted for the sightseeing visit in Delhi. This includes an exploration of several historical monuments made by Mughal emperor along with some architectural splendor like Lotus temple. Spend the night at Delhi hotel followed by a delicious dinner.

Optional arrangement included to your trip can be :
  a) Light and Sound Show
  b) Traditional Indian Dinner

Day 03 : Allahabad - Sailing Down The Ganges
Reach Allahabad by train, make your bathe in the divine waters of Sangam and go for visiting the home of former political leader, the Nehrus. Go for visiting the heart of Hindus Pilgrimage the Varanasi. Here you will be crossed the small village communities and camping on the river shores.

Day 4: Sailing down the Ganga
Early in the morning of 4th day, your sailing down to river Ganga starts. Your trip sail start with passing the green fields of Mustard and wheat, camp is allowed at Kheira before Sitamarhi.

Day 5: Sailing Down to Ganga
This morning stats with sailing with a short stop of Sitamarhi village followed by exploration of villages and temples and evening halt is at Vidyaachal. Here you are also suggested to visit the ancient temples of the Tantrik Cult. Then make your camp for sheltering in the island.

Day 06 : Arrive Varanasi
This day starts with the exploration of the mysterious rituals and wonders of Varanasi. You are suggested to make your trip in the temples, shrines and all the pilgrims’ centers of Varanasi. Early visit to the ghats on the Ganges at dawn is also included in your sail.

VAranasi Day 07 : In Varanasi
After taking your tea and breakfast full day is granted for the sightseeing and temple visit in Varanasi. Here night stay is offered at Varanasi.

Day 08 : Varanasi - Agra
After your morning visit transfer to the railway station for Agra, here whole day is for visiting the worlds best monuments The Taj Mahal. You are also suggested to visit the famous Agra Fort and a walk to the hand made carpet production. Spend the night in Agra hotel.

Day 09 : Agra - Jaipur
Then transfer yourself to Jaipur enroute sightseeing is Fatehpur Sikri. The pink city Jaipur is famous for palaces, street Bazaars, and traditional craft market so make a trip to unfold these treasures. Overnight stay is preferable at Jaipur hotel.

Day 10 : In Jaipur
This day is for exploring the Maharajas’ palace and an Elephant ride to Amber Fort. Spend the night at Jaipur.

Day 11 : Jaipur - Pushkar
After your breakfast at Jaipur start your journey to the south where you will be getting Pushkar, a town of white washed temple. Now your final adventure the camel safari remains. Make a camp for night stay and taste life styles of nomads. Overnight stay is at Pushkar along with a banquet.

Day 12 : Camel Safari
After breakfast make ready for riding in camel to explore the deserts of Rajasthan and also the gallant history of Rajputana Empire. Actually this needs 3 days ride i.e. 65 kms on the camel back.

Day 13: Camel Safari
This day is also allotted for riding on the camel back and passing through the rolling sand dunes of deserts. Here you have full freedom to uncover the Rajputana Empire and the life style of Rajasthani people. Overnight stay is preferable at the place.

Day 14 : Pushkar - Delhi
After your breakfast, get ready for going back to Delhi and thus your sailing comes to an end.
