Palace on wheels or the Maharaja’s Saloon has 52 rooms, allocated to single, double and triple occupancies. The train has 14 air-conditioned coaches each consist of four cabins having double or twin bed. Each coach had living room, dining room, meeting room and study room. Exquisite Rajasthani interiors, attached bathroom having shower with hot and cold water, wardrobes, piped music, intercom, and television are for relaxation and amusements of its guests.
The train is entirely carpeted. Two dining rooms, library, bar and relaxing lounge are the facilities of the rooms of Palace on Wheels. Each bedroom has four coupes, done in colors evocative of the state. Different types of rooms as suites, standard rooms are there in the Palace on Wheels loaded with all the modern facilities. The interior decoration of the coaches changes but as far as the rooms are concerned all the single, double and triple rooms are same in sizes. Third beds for any additional person or an accompanying child is in the form of fold away bed.
