Matheran is a cool and quite hill resort free from the limits of traffics all through the year. Neral is the beginning station of this route, falls in the halfway of the Mumbai- Pune route. The journey from Neral to Matheran needs about one and an half hour. But within this small time span you will get benefited with all the magnificent views of nature. This gift of nature starts unfolding as you begin to move towards the mountains.

Hour 1 : If your chosen train is Passenger 603 start your journey in Neral station at 9 in the morning. Staring from Neral, the narrow gauge two feet line moves equivalent to the main broad gauge line departing the road to the west of Hardal peak and then turning harshly to east. You will quit from Neral station at 9 O’clock. It is a journey of almost two hour to reach at Matheran.
Hour 2 : At 11:05 you will arrive at Matheran station. This sight comes with all the nature’s treasures and magnificent views. Here you are offered to grasp in the unpolluted mountain air, the hymns of birds and some world’s best fruits. Buy a number of exotic fruits en route and gorge your eyes on the serene beauty wrapped around you.
