Location: The Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary is sited at the Nilgiri Hills, a magnificent traveler’s fascination. A varied mixture of flat land, undulating parkland, open grassland, swamp, valleys and nullas are the utmost alluring features of the park. A 321 Sq.m. wide sanctuary-Mudumalai consists of the National Park stretched at an area of 103 sq.m.
Flora: To talk about flora of Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary is to elaborate mainly of its Bamboss (Bambusa arundinacea), Terminalia tomontosa, Grewia, and blooming trees like Indian labumusum, Aredesia, Solanahncea.

Birds: Peacock - India's National bird, patridge quails, little brown dove, malabar grey hornbill, bulbuls, mynahs, goggle eyed plower, grey jungle fowl, the red spur fowl are the beautiful and rare birds of the wild life sanctuary. The grey Malabar whistling thrust, spotted babbler, small green barbet, green pigeons, huge racket-tailed dronge, the shama, the magpie-robin, etc are popular bird species over here. Birds of prey like eagles, hawks, falcons, king vulture and some migratory water birds are the treasure of Mudumalai National Park.
