The Summer Palace of Maharaja Ranjit Singh is one of the fascinating palaces in Punjab. Maharaja Ranjit Singh was a brave monarch, who played a leading during struggle for independence. This magnificent palace was built under the supervision of Fakir Azeez-ud-din, Sardars Lehna Singh and Desa Singh Majithia. It costs around Rs. 1, 25,000 Nanak Shahis to build the interiors of the palace.
This palace stands in a beautiful garden that extends to an area of 84 acres. The entire garden is being enclosed by a 14 feet high rampart. The imposing entrance has four storied towers facing the east, west, north and south respectively. The interior of the palace displays some artistic masterpieces of that time.
