Macchi Bhawan is located opposite to the Diwan-I-Khas of Agra, an essential
part Agra as well as India tour. The Macchi Bhawan offers the grand enclosure
to harem functions. A well designed exterior and a decorated interior
makes the spot a worth visiting one. The emperor sat on the hoary marble
platform of Diwan-I-Khas in front of the patio of Macchi Bhawan. Marble
fountain and pool, which once carried off by Jat Raja Surajmal to its
place Deeg, was the luring feature of the spot.
There are numerous small and tiny tombs of Agra scattered in every nooks and corner of the place is accountable in making Agra a world-class travel destination. These monuments ands buildings were once structured with great care and sincerity by the Mughal emperors. The Macchi Bhawan is now almost in ruins and thus the visitors’ wont found any satisfactory reason in naming the spot as Fish pavilion. Archeological department is trying their level best to recover the Bhawans’ as visiting place.
