The
Diwan-i-Am is a beautiful monument in Uttar Pradesh. The Diwan-i-Am hall was
a public audience hall that was used for official meetings and petitioners.
It was built so magnificently that the women can also view at the proceedings
of the court without being seen by others. Still today you can find the jail
screens in the pavilion of the Diwan-i-Am.
The open sided arched hall that was built up of plaster on red stone is a very impressive sight in Diwan-i-Am and is a cause of attraction of the tourists. The peacock throne in Diwan-i-Am is very beautiful to see. It is decorated with white marble and it took 7 years to complete the construction of the throne. Tourists come to witness this beautiful monument from the every corner of the globe.
