Nagpur

Nagpur is the second largest capital of Maharashtra. It was founded by the Gond King of Deogad in the year 1702. The river Nag flows through this land and hence the place got its name as Nagpur. Once, Nagpur was the capital of the central province. It was blessed with rich forest resources and many eye-popping natural treasures. It is popularly known as known as orange city. Location : The Nagpur city is a major city of India and it lies on the Deccan plateau of Indian Peninsula.

Climate : As the city, Nagpur is far away from the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea, so the climate of the place remains dry and humid almost throughout the year. Monsoon hits the place during the months of June to September. Summer starts from March to June when the temperature to a maximum of 47º C. From the month of November winter stars and last upto the month of January. In winters, sometimes the temperature touches below 10º C.
