GETTING TO RISHIKESH FROM DELHI

The closest international airport is New Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport. Domestic airlines fly from Delhi's Palam Airport to Dehradun's Jolly Grant Airport. About Rishikesh

Rishikesh sits along the holy river Ganges, about 200 Kms northeast of Delhi, and is the doorway to the Himalayas. This ancient and holy town is the Yoga Capital of the world. Haridwar

The holy city of Haridwar is located 42 kilometers south of The Ananda and is home to some of the Most sacred Hindu rituals. Dehradun

Dehradun, this picturesque town lies in the beautiful Doon Valley, nestled in the arms of the Himalayas and flanked by the might Ganga and Yamuna. The town draws it name from dehra Meaning camp and Dun meaning valley between two mountains. Spread across miles of unspoiled Nature, rich in scenic beauty this place is a traveler's delight.

A peaceful drive, just over an hour, takes you down the twisting roads to Rishikesh and on through The scenic countryside, past the Jolly Grant Airport to this bustling borough. Kunjapuri

This holy shrine is dedicated to the Goddess Shakti, the consort of Lord Shiva the Destroyer and is located at 1645 meter above Sea level.

Folklore has it that this is the spot where the Chest or Kunja of Shakti's body was found after the Sudarshan Chakra of Lord Vishnu, the Preserver, had disseminated it. The legend claims that the original temple was built at the dawn of time, however the present temple was built in 1983. Offering a spectacular 360 degrees view, this is one of the most breathtaking spots in the region and is a place well worth visiting.
