Chorwad Beach

Chorwad is small picturesque village in Gujarat, India. It is basically a fishing village which had a lot of importance during the historical era of Nawab Saheb Mohabbat Khan of Junagadh. Chorwad Beach is where the Nawab had built a magnificent palace that offered close views of the sea. He used this palace during summers to spend a reposeful holiday by the seaside. The royal banquets and processions were all held in Chorwad.

In the year 1974, the palace was brought under the control of the Tourism Corporation of Gujarat and now the palace of Chorwad has been renovated and converted into a resort.

The Chorwad Beach Gujarat has rocky shores and deep blue sea, all of which combine to make a fascinating scenic view. You can take a country boat ride and visit the lovely fishing villages here. Trains from Ahmedabad to Chorwad Beach are easily available.

The beach, which is amongst the most beautiful beaches in Gujarat, India is located at a distance of 66 km from Junagadh and 23 km from Veraval. The nearest airport is at Keshod which is located at a distance of 40 km. There are a number of restaurants on the beach.
