Day 01: Bangalore Depart
On your arrival at Bangalore Station, you will receive a traditional welcome by our representatives. Later we take you to board The Golden Chariot from the Bangalore Railway Station. You should come to the station at least one hour before the departure time. Overnight, travel to Mysore town.
Day 02: Mysore & Srirangapatnam
On arriving Mysore we take you for an excursion to the Island Fortress of Srirangapatnam. Here you can view this magnificent fort built by legendary king Tipu Sultan. Then visit the magnificent Mysore Palace. Then view the Vrindavan Gardens that spread over 150 acres. Later you are to return to the train to continue your journey to Hassan town. Over night stay on board.
Day 03: Nagarhole Wildlife Reserve
Early morning you will arrive Nagarhole Wildlife Sanctuary, which is popularly known as Rajiv Gandhi National Park. Here you can witness the tigers, leopards, deer, wild dogs, langur, 300 species of birds & elephants at Nagarhole. Return to the train to continue your tour. Over night stay in the Luxury Train.
Day 04: Belur, Halebid & Shravanbelagola
On this day from Hassan Railway, after one hours of journey you will reach Hosalyas temples at Belur & Halebid. Then, view the Halebid temples where you can witness intricate carvings of Hindu deities, sages, stylized animals & performing arts. In the afternoon view the naked statue of Jain Diety Gomateshwara at Sravanabelagola. This statue is 17.5 metres. Return to the train to continue your journey to Hospet town. Over night stay at the Train.
Day 05: Hampi
In the morning you will arrive Hospet town. Our representatives will then drive you to World Heritage site of Hampi, situated in a strange landscape. Visit the incredibly sculpted Vittala Temple, where you can find chariot in the temple courtyard. Visit the country side of Annegondi in the afternoon across Tanga Bhadara River. You will then travel to the town of Gadag by train. Over night stay at the Train.
Day 06: Badami, Aihole & Pattadakal
In the morning you will arrive at the Gadag Railway Station. We will then take you to visit the temple complexes at Pattadakal & Aihole. Proceed to Pattadakal World Heritage Site latter, which was once the capital of Badami Chalukyas. View the fascinating temples built between 3rd to 9th centuries. Then witness the World Heritage Site of Badami located at the foot of a red sand stone ridge. You can witness more than 150 temples. Later you are to return to the Train to continue your travel through the Golden Chariot to Goa. Over night stay at the Train.
Day 07: Goa
Today the train will reach to Goa. You can witness some World Heritage Site of Old Goa. Visit the magnificent cathedrals and enjoy in the exotic beaches. Back to the train to continue your tour back to Bangalore. Over night stay in the Train.
Day 08: Bangalore
Around noon the Golden Chariot Royal train returns to Bangalore. You can then check out and continue your onward journey.
Basic Information
10% surcharge during Christmas/ New Year: Service tax @ 3.09% shall be levied on the prevalent tariff of the Golden Chariot as per Govt. of India. The above mentioned tariff may be subjected to any change without notice. Indian passenger need to pay equivalent amount of rupees against the US $.
The Tariff includes: The tariff includes accommodation on board (The Golden Chariot)/ travel/sight-seeing tours/meals/ entrance in parks/monuments/ palaces and cultural programs.
The Tariff does not include: The tariff does not include room service, laundry service, telephone call, video camera fee, spa, business car facility, liquor, and other personal type items.
Reservation and Cancellation charges
Reservation:
20% of the ticket value at the time of confirming any booking
Remain 80% of the ticket prior to 30 days of departure
Cancellation:
5% of the ticket value, in case of cancellation made 60 days prior to departure
20% of the ticket value, in case of cancellation made 59-30 days prior to departure
50% of the ticket value, in case of cancellation made 29-15 days prior to departure
100% of the ticket value, in case of cancellation made 14 days prior to departure
Relevant information to the tourist :
You can find daily all sorts of comfort in the coaches of Golden Chariot. Go through the daily newspapers in the morning with the morning tea. For physical check-up you can expect doctors at every next station. First aid box is available in every coach.
