Bihar has been a home to many forts and monuments. The Rambhar Stupa in Bihar is a beautiful monument. According to the old Buddhist manuscript, this stupa was also known as Mukut- Bandhan Vihar in Bihar.
The Rambhar Stupa was built to mark of death of Lord Buddha. The Rambhar Stupa is 49 feet height and the diameter at the upper part of the stupa is 34.14 meter and that at its base is 47.24 meter. This Stupa is located at a distance of 1.6 km to the Matha-Kuar shrine. Also a pond named Rambhir Jhil is located near to it. Rambhar Stupa displays the grandeur of finest specimens of Mauryan architecture. Travelers from all round the globe used to come to visit this holy place every year.
