Padri Ki Haveli is the oldest church in Bihar. It was built in 1772. This huge church has a dimension of seventy feet in length, forty feet wide and fifty feet in height. Tirreto, a Venetian architect designed this church. He came from kolkata. Nawab Mir Kasim looted this church because of the quarrel with the English traders and so all the ancient records were destroyed or burnt as a consequent of this. Later, in 1857 during the Sepoy mutiny again this church suffered with many damages.Padri Ki Haveli was built by Father Joseph. The main attraction of the church is the large cathedral bell. Mother Teresa carried her caring and nursing activity to many peoples from this church only.
