Introduction
Popular as Varanasi, Benaras is sandwiched between the rivers Varuna and Ashi. Varanasi has derived its name from its location. Also called Kashi, the city of light, is located along the West Bank of the Ganges and has a myriad collection of narrow lanes that form an integral part of the city.
