Commonwealth Games is a multinational sport event, organized after every four years. This time, Delhi, the capital of India is privileged to host this Multi sport Event - Commonwealth. The 2010 Commonwealth Games are scheduled to be held in between 3 October and 14 October 2010 in New Delhi. The state is preparing for this upcoming Event to gratify the players as well as the spectators’. The opening ceremony is scheduled to be held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Delhi.
Costing:
US$ 1.6 billion is reported to be the total budget estimated for hosting the 19th Commonwealth. It is also estimated that the 2010 Commonwealth Games is the most expensive Commonwealth Games ever held. As compared to Manchester 2002 - approx. US$ 420 million, and Melbourne 2006 - approx. US$ 1.1 billion, the 2010 commonwealth games lays in the same paddle.
