Travel through Suru valley in Jammu and Kashmir to reach Mulbekh village. In this place there is an astounding monastery situated on a high rock. There are limestone rocks in this zone. The huge rock-cut sculpture of Maitreya is the main centre of attraction of the Mulbekh village.
This rock-cut sculpture is nine metres high standing sculpture of Boddhisattva with four arms. This statue has four arms that are carved on a rock. This solitary sculpture is fifty feet tall. It is located half-way between Srinagar and Leh. This rock sculpture is a major centre of attraction of the tourists of the entire globe, since time immortal.
