The Nameri National Park is one of the important national parks in India, located in Assam. This national park is located to the foothills of Eastern Himalayas. The Nameri National Park is situated in Assam. It is located to a distance of 181 km from Guwahati and to a distance of 35 km from Tezpur town. In fact, Tezpur is the nearest town to the Nameri National Park. To be very exact, the Nameri National Park extends to an area of 213 sq. km. They are namely the white winged wood duct, Sloth Bear, Sambar, Gaur, Indian Wild Dog, Tiger Leopard, Clouded Leopard, varieties of Hornbill and many other winged species.
