India has always been admired to be a place of wildlife and natural resources. While many of the wild life and natural resources are on the verge of extinction, still many wildlife sanctuaries, national parks and forest reserves in India are proud to have many of them. Betla National park, Jharkhand is one of the many national parks of immense significance in India. Located in the Daltonganj district of Jharkhand, the national park is spread over an area of 232 sq. kilometers. Established in September1989, the national park has gained national as well as international attraction.

Spread over a lush green vegetation cover of more than 232 sq. kilometers, the national park is home to some of the rarest of rare species of animals and plants. The place is a beautiful example of a balanced ecosystem, where one can find many endangered plant and animal species. Many people from several parts of the country come to visit the place. Wildlife in Betla National Park
This nicely balanced ecosystem is an ideal place for many kinds of plants and animals. To name a few they are; ant eating pangolin, chital, elephant, gaur, jackals, langur, leopard, mongoose, monkeys, mouse deer, nilgai, nuntjac, panther, porcupine, sambar, sloth bear, small Indian civet, tiger and wild boar. Apart from this there are many other wildlife that can be seen in the Betla National Park.

Best Time to visit : The best time to visit the place is between the months of Feb to April of each year.
Climate : The climate of the place is pleasant and so it holds a number of wildlife. The temperature dips to 3°C in the winters and goes to a maximum of 45°C in the summers.

By Air : Nearest air port to the Betla National Park is at Ranchi. It is 91 km from the wildlife sanctuary
Rail : The nearest railway station is Koderma, (59 km).
Road : The palce is about 91 km away from Ranchi nad 128 km from Dhanbad.
