Location : Kushinagar is a fascinating town that is situated 55 kms to the east of Gorakhpur. The National Highway No.-28 runs through this place.

Climate : In the summers, the climate remains hot and humid .The temperature touches to a maximum of 40-45°C. In the winters, the temperature becomes very pleasant and sometimes it deeps below 5°C in the night time. So, the best time to visit the place is between the months of October to April.

Sights of Attractions :
Mahaparinirvana Temple : The Mahaparinirvana temple is a fascinating temple, which is famous for the 6 metres long image of Lord Buddha. During the excavations of 1876, the reclining image of Buddha.was discovered.

Nirvana Stupa : It is a fascinating site where you can admire the brick stupa located in the east of the Nirvana temple. It is 2.74 m high statue that was excavated in 1867 by Carlleyl. You can witness the last remains of Lord Buddha inscription in this temple.

Meditation Park : You can witness the Meditation Park near to the main Nirvana Temple. This fascinating Park offers splendid views of green platforms surrounded by sal trees.

Kushinagar Museum : The Kushinagar Museum is a magnificent museum where you can precious antiques like coins, sculptures, statues, architectural remains and bronze statues. These Buddhist treasures were found from the excavation sites. Also you can find some Hindus and Jain antiquies in this museum.

Myanmar Buddha Vihar : It is a magnificent monastery in Khushinagar which is adorned with beautiful metal statues of Lord Buddha
