FAQ'S
Q1. Is 'Aero India 2007' a Govt. of
India sponsored exposition & which is the agency organising the show?
Ans. Aero India 2007 is sponsored by the Govt. of India and is being
organized by the Defence Exhibition Organisation under the Deptt. Of Defence
Production & Supplies, Ministry of Defence. For details please refer to
the Brochure.
Q2. Is there an organiser's office functioning at Bangalore?
Ans. From 15 Jan 2007, a site office will be opened at Bangalore in
addition to the main office at Delhi. Details shall be made available closer
to the show dates.
Q3. What are the requirements for exhibitor badges / contractor passes &
when will they be made available?
Ans. The details of Exhibitors and Contractor personnel must be submitted
to the Orgainisers by Exhibitors on forms No. 2 & 3 respectively of the
Exhibitor Manual by 30.11.04. Badges/ Passes would be made available at site
(for details please refer Paras 8 & 9, Section II of the Exhibitor
Manual)
Q4. When will the Exhibitor & Chalet car parking passes be made
available to us & how many?
Ans. Free of charge parking permits @ one per 50 sq.m of hired space
subject to a minimum of one per exhibitor. In addition 3 permits per chalet
booked shall be granted. These will be handed over at site on 02 Feb 2007
onwards
Q5. We have to invite some of our customers please advise us as to what
we should do?
Ans. You may invite your customer with an Exhibitor Invite or a ticket
without which entry shall not be permitted. The tickets can be purchased
from outlets at Bangalore & the Exhibitor Invities as per promulgated
scale shall be made available in third week of Jan 05
Q6. Please advise us on the payment schedule & your Banker's details
for money transfers.
Ans. Please refer to our payment mode
Q7. Could you help us with some details on arranging accommodation &
transport at Bangalore?
Ans. Indian Horizons will assist you on both these counts tour requirements
for accommodation, transport, hostess, guides, interpreters.
Q8. What furniture items will you provide with a standard shell scheme
booth?
Ans. A table, 2 chairs, 3 spotlights, a waste paper basket and a needle
punch carpet.
Q9. Will additional furniture & other items be available at site on
payment?
Ans. Certainly, a range of items that could be rented are indicated in
Order form No 15 with rates. You have to mark your requirements & return
the form to the official stand fitter, alongwith payments.
Q10. What is the height restriction for the stalls & exhibits on
display?
Ans. Not more than 4m. (See Section IV Para 3 & 4 of Exhibitor Manual)
Q11. Can we design some hangings from the ceiling frames?
Ans. No. Suspensions from Hall ceiling or fixtures to walls, columns, floor
or any part of building structure is not permitted. (See Section IV Para 3 &
4 of Exhibitor Manual)
Q12. There is an aisle space within the area allotted to us. Could we
use the space in our stall design?
Ans. You may cover such aisle space with carpet of your choice.
Arches/canopies may also be designed in such aisle spaces having height
between 2.5 to 4 m. But the aisle space should be clear of all
structures/exhibits. (See Section IV Para 4 Exhibitor Manual.)
Q13 Would it be possible to have a washbasin and tap in our stall.
Ans. No, this is not feasible.
Q14. We have a plan to design a small enclosure within the stand for
catering food & drinks. Could some heating appliances be kept?
Ans. Cooking inside the stand is strictly prohibited.
Q15. We have our own stand filter & designer for building our stand.
How do we go about? Ans. Please officially inform the organizers about
the contractor employed by you. Apply for their passes in time. Submit your
design to the organizers for approval in form no. 16 of Exhibitor Manual.
Q16. When can the National Pavilions & those with space over 200
sq.m commence building their stalls?
Ans. w.e.f. 20 Jan 2007
Q17. Is there any provision for cooking or catering facilities at the
chalet?
Ans. There shall be a 5-star Restaurant, an A/C Food Court & a
moderately priced Restaurant at site. You may use their services or employ a
caterer of your choice for serving food at the chalet. The pantry in the
chalet have provision for heating appliances only. Use of LPG cylinders or
cooking of any kind inside chalet is strictly prohibited.
Q18. We have an additional power requirement for some special display
items in the stall. Could it be made available?
Ans. Yes! There is a provision for additional power requirement against
payment. You have to apply in advance in Form No 17
Q19. We have our own Freight-Forwarding agency to handle our goods. What
are the formalities involved?
Ans. Inform the organizers & official Freight-Forwarding Agency in
advance. The on-site handling of goods shall, however, be permitted to be
done only by the official Freight Forwarding Agency.
Q20. We are planning some advertisements for our company. Could it be
possible at the show?
Ans. You are permitted to distribute hand bills or exhibits-related printed
material only. Advertisements can be published, in the official catalogue or
Show Directory through the official publisher, details will be promulgated
separately
Q21. What security measures are to be followed & what security the
organisers will provide?
Ans. General security will be provided by the organizers. Point security
will be the responsibility of the Exhibitors.
Q22. Are you to have some insurance of any kind?
Ans. Insurance cover is a must.
Q23. We are planning to display an aircraft at the show. Apart from the
participation charges what other formalities are involved?
Ans. Please refer the Flying Manual, which shall be mailed to you on
confirmation of participation.
Q24. I am a media person desirous to attending Aero India 2007. Could
you tell me how to go about?
Ans. Fill the Media Accreditation Form on Web site & send us along with
2 passport size photographs & copies of passport & press card
positively by 30.11.2004. Give your fax and contact number and we will get
in touch with you.
