As a result of the Games, there will be a huge influx of tourists from all the nooks and corners of the globe. For the better benefit and comfort of foreign guests, a huge number of hotels and resorts are pulling up their services. The government is providing tax incentives for hotel rooms to prepare for this influx. With a focus on highly in demand tourist regions as Agra & Jaipur, several developments are to be implemented within a very short while.

The Tourism ministry of Delhi is working intimately with the ministries of railways and civil aviation for setting up budget hotels. These budget hotels can accommodate 1, 30,000 rooms and convention centers in all over the state. To improve connectivity and accommodation of 2010 Commonwealth Games, Tourism department is working at their level best.
During this event, the ministry also plans to organize four shopping events in three states of the country to attract more tourists.
