Government of India's policies as revised from time to time have now opened up areas like Assam, Tripura and Meghalaya for tourists. Given below is a chart giving comprehensive information

Manipur

Authority that can grant permit:
1.All Indian Missions abroad
2.All MHA and FRROs at Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, CHID and Chennai
3.Home Commissioner, Manipur
Individual tourists not permitted, maximum 10 days allowed.
Remarks: Foreigners allowed only in groups of 4 or more, 10 days.

2. Zongri in West Sikkim

Authority that can grant permit:
·MHA and all issuing authorities of Govt. of Sikkim and its H representatives at Kolkata, Siliguri and Rangpo
Individual tourists not permitted, maximum 15 days allowed.
Remarks: For trekking only.

3. Tsangu 8 (Chhangu Lake in East Sikkim)

Authority that can grant permit:

·Secretary (Tourism), Govt. of Sikkim
Individual tourists not permitted, day visit only.
Remarks: Tourist groups to travel on identified tour circuits only.

Mizoram
